Information about Ca'n mayol (banyeta)

Set in the picturesque village of Fornalutx, in the Tramuntana Mountains, this enchanting town house can comfortably accommodate 2 people.
There's a terrace on the second floor, great for al fresco dining while contemplating the nice views over the town and the mountains. Maybe you would like to have a tasty BBQ?

This terrace gives access to a spacious living room with satellite-TV and a toilet. When going down to the first floor, you'll find a bedroom with double bed and A/C as well as a cosy sitting-dining room. The ground floor is composed of a shower bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen with gas hob, washer, iron and ironing board. If you travel with a baby, we can supply a cot and a high chair. Two fans and two electric radiators complete the equipment.

The picturesque town of Fornalutx is in the midst of the Tramuntana Mountains, declared as a World Human Heritage by Unesco. Lots of trails and cycling routes start here. The trail Tossals Verds leads you through Mediterranean woods, antic buildings and small paths. The fresh water reservoir Cúber, which is at the foot of the Puig Major, is also a very nice and popular trail. The beaches of the Tramuntana are mostly characterized by rocks and cool, clear waters, for example Cala Deià, Puerto de Valldemossa and Llucalcari. If you prefer sand beaches, you can visit Puerto de Sóller and Cala Tuent. In Sóller and Puerto de Sóller you'll find supermarkets, restaurants and shops. In Fornalutx, there's a small grocery shop. Near Sóller is the Muleta Cave where the most ancient human remains of Mallorca have been found.

Die Lage inmitten des wunderschönen Ortes mit herrlichem Blick auf die Berge. Die Terrasse und das Ambiente überstrahlen einfach alles. Grandios! Man muss aber Treppen mögen: 4 Räume auf 4 Ebenen.

The location in the middle of the beautiful place with a wonderful view of the mountains. The terrace and the ambience simply outshine everything. Great! But you have to like stairs: 4 rooms on 4 levels.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im November und konnten von der tollen Lage direkt im Tramuntana-Gebirge profitieren, was zum Wandern eingeladen hat. Fornalutx ist ein sehr schönes Bergdorf, auch Sollér ist nicht weit und sehenswert. In der Unterkunft war alles Notwendige vorhanden und insbesondere die Dachterrasse hat zum Verweilen und Entspannen eingeladen, der Sternenhimmel war wunderschön!

We had a lovely stay in November and were able to benefit from the great location directly in the Tramuntana Mountains, which was great for hiking. Fornalutx is a very beautiful mountain village, Sollér is also not far and worth seeing. Everything you needed was available in the accommodation and the roof terrace in particular invited you to linger and relax, the starry sky was beautiful!

Wir waren eine Woche in der Unterkunft und haben es sehr genossen! Besonders das Obergeschoss mit der Terrasse war fantastisch. Wir haben uns auch sehr über das Willkommenspaket an Lebensmitteln (Obst, Wein, Wasser, Milch...) gefreut. Das Haus liegt sehr zentral und der Ort ist wirklich schön, besonders abends wenn es ruhiger wird. Die Treppe vor der Tür ist ein sehr beliebter Fotospot. An Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Auch die Betten sind sehr bequem. Catalina, die Gastgeberin ist ebenfall sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We stayed at the property for a week and really enjoyed it! The upper floor with the terrace was particularly fantastic. We were also very happy about the welcome pack of groceries (fruit, wine, water, milk...). The house is very centrally located and the place is really nice, especially in the evenings when it gets quieter. The stairs in front of the door are a very popular photo spot. Everything you need is available in terms of equipment. The beds are also very comfortable. Catalina, the hostess, is also very nice and helpful. We'd love to come back!

Großartige Lage mitten im Ort. Toller Blick in die Berge von der Terrasse. Wertvolle Hinweise von der Vermieterin zu kostenlosen Parkmöglichkeiten. Problemlose Kommunikation als die Gasflasche für den Herd in der Küche leer war und schneller Austausch derselben. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Tramuntana. Tolle Atmosphäre auf dem Dorfplatz am Abend, wenn die Tagesgäste weg sind ;-)

Great location in the middle of town. Great view of the mountains from the terrace. Valuable information from the landlady about free parking options. Problem-free communication when the gas bottle for the stove in the kitchen was empty and it was replaced quickly. Ideal starting point for hikes in the Tramuntana. Great atmosphere on the village square in the evening when the day guests are gone ;-)

Location. Balcony. Cleanliness. Value for money. Attentive owner. Loved the wine, fruit, bread, ham, cheese, water ready for us..... Very comfy bed. Oh the balcony...great views and wonderful to relax, read and drink vino!!Keysafe difficult to open. Shower issue quickly remedied by owner...thanks. Rather noisy 05.30 to 07.30 as on main street....should have been aware as stayed in Fornalutx before and locals off to work/school and deliveries between these hours. Stairs steep....knew this would be case but not suitable for infirm.

Well located charming house in the middle of Fornaluxt with a beautiful terrace. Every room is on a different level, so staying there includes climbing many stairs. The rooms are cosy and well equipped. There is a second little bathroom on the upper level which is quite comfortable, as you don't have to go to the lowest level to use the bathroom there. We missed the promised hair-dryer. The House can be quite cold during the winter months.

Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin verlief reibungslos, sie war stets erreichbar. Die Unterkunft selber ist ein älteres Haus in Zentral-Fornalutx. Es hat 4 (!) Stockwerke, das sollte man nicht unterschätzen - das Essen aus der Küche im Keller haben wir uns immer in den 2. Stock auf die herrliche Terasse geholt. Zum Schlafen sind wir vom Schlafzimmer ins Wohnzimmer umgezogen, da wir Probleme mit der Lautstärke (Haus liegt an Straße, ein Gullideckel klackert immer wenn Autos drüber fahren) hatten. Die Wohnung war sauber und ordentlich. Die Lage ist absolut schön - wenn man aus der Tür rausgeht, fällt man quasi auf die schönste Treppe in Fornalutx und fotografierende Leute. ;) Ein kleiner Supermarkt, der der Familie der Hausbesitzerin gehört, ist direkt um die Ecke. Wichtig: Parken im Ortkern geht (fast) nur gegen Bezahlung, wenn man allerdings ein paar Meter aus dem Ort rausfährt, kann man sich dort kostenlos an den Straßenrand stellen. Wir haben die Zeit in der Wohnung genoßen, Fornalutx liegt sensationell um Wandertouren in der Serra de Tramuntana zu starten. Fornalutx hat etwas Magisches und dort seine Unterkunft zu haben lohnt sich. Wir können die Wohnung daher guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

Communication with the owner went smoothly and she was always available. The accommodation itself is an older house in central Fornalutx. It has 4 (!) floors, which shouldn't be underestimated - we always brought the food from the kitchen in the basement to the wonderful terrace on the 2nd floor. To sleep, we moved from the bedroom to the living room because we had problems with the noise (the house is on the street, a manhole cover always clacks when cars drive over it). The apartment was clean and tidy. The location is absolutely beautiful - when you walk out the door you're basically struck by the most beautiful staircase in Fornalutx and people taking photos. ;) A small supermarket that belongs to the homeowner's family is right around the corner. Important: Parking in the town center is (almost) only possible against payment, but if you drive a few meters out of town, you can park on the side of the road for free. We enjoyed our time in the apartment, Fornalutx is in a sensational location for starting hiking tours in the Serra de Tramuntana. There is something magical about Fornalutx and it is worth staying there. We can therefore recommend the apartment with a clear conscience!

Nous sommes restés 7 nuits dans la maison à 2 adultes et deux enfants (3 et 7ans). Tout était conforme au descriptif. La maison est sur la très petite rue principale du village. Un peu de bruit le soir et le matin, mais on s'y habitue après quelques jours. La plage de sable de Soller est à moins de 15min pour les petites baignades. Sinon il y a beaucoup de visites et de balades à faire dans la tramuntana mais cette semaine il faisait vraiment trop chaud pour faire marcher des enfants.

We stayed 7 nights in the house, 2 adults and two children (3 and 7 years old). Everything was as described. The house is on the very small main street of the village. A little noise in the evening and morning, but you get used to it after a few days. The sandy beach of Soller is less than 15 minutes away for short swims. Otherwise there are many visits and walks to do in the tramuntana but this week it was really too hot to take children walking.

Wir haben im Oktober, November die Unterkunft von Catalina besucht und fanden alles so vor wie auf den Fotos ersichtlich. Es gibt viele Treppen zu laufen da sich die Räume über 4 Etagen verteilen. Das übt für die vielen Wanderungen die man direkt ab dem Ort unternehmen kann. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll und funktionell eingerichtet und liegt in einer der schönsten Gassen von Fornalutx. In der Küche findet man wesentliche Dinge, es gibt sogar eine Waschmaschine. Die Dachterrasse ist geräumig. Der gegenüber liegende Bäcker ist sehr zu empfehlen. Der nahe liegende (20 m) kleine Supermarkt gehört der Familie von Catalina. Dort bekommt man alles was man braucht. Lokale gibt es mehrere, uns hat es in der Calzone Pizzeria gut geschmeckt. Es hat uns gut gefallen und wir können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

We visited Catalina's accommodation in October and November and found everything as shown in the photos. There are a lot of stairs to climb as the rooms are spread over 4 floors. This is good practice for the many hikes that you can take directly from the town. The apartment is lovingly and functionally furnished and is located in one of the most beautiful streets in Fornalutx. In the kitchen you will find essential things, there is even a washing machine. The roof terrace is spacious. The bakery opposite is highly recommended. The nearby (20 m) small supermarket belongs to Catalina's family. You can get everything you need there. There are several restaurants, we enjoyed the Calzone Pizzeria. We liked it and can recommend the accommodation.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, die extra auf uns gewartet hat. Obwohl die Unterkunft mitten im Ort liegt, ist es nicht laut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Ausgangslage für kleinere oder größere Wanderungen.

Very friendly hostess who waited especially for us. Although the accommodation is in the middle of town, it is not noisy. We felt very comfortable. Great starting point for smaller or larger hikes.
